same as everyone..want to start a business

Hi,

I'm new at this site, I'm from Mexico so please forget my english..
i live Laredo, TX, which is in the border of Mexico and USA.
One of the main activities is import/export and i want to built a portal/directory for all companies arround this genere.

i want small local companies to be able to add their infomation,
because some dont have web sites.. so they would have to upload some pictures also.. and a link if available.

also want to have an employment/classified section.. and banners.., a payment section if possible, and categories as they all have..

i like the templates from edirectory, because i like my site to have pictures or banners not only text.. and categories.. but as everyone says is too expensive to start a business ..
i'm looking also at dynaportal, but also is expensive, and i'm looking at templates or sites from phpld, phplynx, indexu, esyndicate, phpmydirectory, etc.. but most of them have only text...

i need an easy interfase for me and for users, so they can easily update their page, add classifieds, and i can administrate the adds, add a banner, etc..

i appreciate any comments or suggestions..

I suggest you to look for free css templates and if you can do little bit of web designing then its okay, else you can look out for a cheap webdesigner who can design your site.

In your opinion which script can I use?, I'm not familiar with PHP.. but I want to start with something that can be changed by a webdesigner or by me..
i need customers to enter their business information, i want to have free classifieds to attract customers.. and some banners.

Well I am using phplinkdirectory for all my general directories so you can give that a try. If you want to try something different do look around and see which script meets your needs.

Hi...

i already downloaded this script and installed with a template and it looks good. but its for links only..
i'm looking at phpmydirectory.. its not expensive, but i need also classifieds..
