The Next PR update

Just thought I would enquire on how many are looking forward to the google PR update.

How many are expecting there directory to gain a higher page rank position?
And what predicted page rank are you expecting?

I am most looking forward to the next pr update so that I can get some inner pr. On the first update my site recieved only the main page recieved any. I am currently at pr4 and expect at least pr5 but I am hoping for pr6.

What PR prediction tool do you ues Lenny?

The next PR update (i think) is the beginng of April. The Voisd Webmaster Directory is predicted a PR6 and the Unleashed General Directory is predicted a PR5... all good

Indeed i do. For Voisd i have built up more quality PR back links in the last 2 months. I have quite a lot more PR4, PR5 and PR6 backlinks - ive definately gone for quality over quantity. I've also added a rss news feed which has provided unique and dynamic page content on the index (which google tends to love).

As for Unleashed it is actually a PR4 already (although not showing because i moved it from a subdomain and the PR obviously doesnt show until a GBPR update)... hence the likely hood of a PR5. Getting a jump from PR0-PR5 is usually near on impossible (as most can only achieve a jump from PR0 to PR3 or PR4.

Im more confident about Voisd getting is updated PR than Unleashed though... i dont really mind if Unleashed only retains its PR4, at the end of the day i am looking to sell Unleashed at some point... anyone got a spare $2k?

As for pink listings im looking to sell that as well as i dont have enough time and need the money to invest into the Smart Submit Tool

I also use iWebtool's predictor and it predicts a pr5 for my directory. Hopefully I can get a few more high pr links before the update and get it even higher. Either way the most important thing to me is getting the inner pages good pr.

You can always purchase a sitewide on Voisd for $20 per month - good to get it before the update because when i hit PR6 ill be looking for $25 per month...

These tools are at best a calculated guess, although I'm sure we all know that, and hold little or no wieght at all when it comes to Google actually handing out PageRank for any particular website.

I'll continue to focus on building backlinks of trusted high PR quality websites, at least I can rest asured knowing there is little chance my website will be penalized for unethical or black hat link building practices.

Not that I'm suggesting anyone is but when it comes to buying links on a high ranking PR site for no other reason than to boost ones own PR value is IMO unethical and puts your website at risk of being penalized.
