Default Which bidding directories do you recommend?

As the title says, which one? Please list those bidding directories with a minimum of $1 that had been around for at least a month or two.

Thanks!

Theres the Voisd Bidding Directory - the good thing about this one is that its on a subfolder of the Voisd Webmaster Directory, hence in the next update its more than likely to achieve a PR4 (like the voisd webmaster blog).

None, I think they are a complete waste of time for the website owner but that's just my opinion and not a critisism on the owners, just don't like the concept.

I respect your opinion or anyone for that matter, but how is it a waist of my time as I am running 3 bidding directories?

Btw, you are not the only one who feel this way, but I failed to see any explanation on why they are a waist off time or any other reasoning from the people who says this things about bidding directories.

Million dollar pixel has been around for over 5 years or so, made famous by some UK guy.

Cloud directories had been around for almost just as long and both are still around. Also, just to remind you that there are a few Cloud directories with a PR7 and going strong with top companies listing into it.

Bidding directories I first notice about 7 months ago and will be around for quite sometimes as long as there are any interest to have one.

Directories are just that, organised structures, this bidding thing to me is a gimmick nothing more. You tell me any serious SEO companies that would bother going into a bidding directory and I'll think about changing my mind. I mean big players wwws not the monkeys at DP.

Some of the top bidding directory sites have top bids of $800 - its a highly competitive addition to the directory world and can potentially make quite a bit of money, ultimately though i personally think it works better as an addition to a site (especially for just us small people).

I would not pay that amount just for PR. I look at directories which have rankings in Google. Right now I do submit to the ones ranking for this:
bidding web directory - Google Search

Nice job on the look and feel, I like how you intergrated with the look of the main site. I submitted one under the Free directory section...Not automatic by the way

Most of the bidding categories are now categorically organize. The process is simple. One can place the minimum bid and if one chooses to be up higher rather than being on the second page then he can pay a little more. Bidding directory allows you an opportunity to get a little exposure by paying a little more.

In a traditional directory, they allow you to get some exposure by being Featured or Sponsorship. Bidding directory takes it to another level by placing your website on the Front page were the visitors first entrance, thus leads to more exposure. Front page also ranks higher on PR.

In cases like Big Web Links Directory - Bid for Position Permanent Directory were some people invest $$$ on a high PR (PT7) to be on a front page and maybe some traffic gives the sites listed there a higher exposure in recognition, it is sorta like having a Billboard in TimeSquare,(NY). Me, I just submit the minimum amount as I cannot afford the $$$, but, by doing that will also benefit me on this coming PR update as my sites are listed on a non-crowded category

Another great thing about bidding directory as oppose to a general directories is the category structures, it is usually one up from the main site, If my site ever winds up on a second page, I can up it to bring it up to where it was and most bid directories are lifetime listing which is better than yearly.

I would watch out for some bidding directories that do increase there own bids or there friends sites. A DP member name rtchar has a list of bid directories and has posted an ethical bidding post that bid directory owners should follow.

Overall, there is nothing wrong with bidding directories, it is more beneficial than a general directories as far as getting more PR juice or SERPS. Search for a site that is listed on a bidding directories and a bidding directories would be on the top 10 results.
