Thank christ I aint on my own rankland, I have friends who swear by PR but to me its a load of nonsense. Get a good position in the search engines is what its all about and keywords is a must.

well if your content doesn't show high in the serp then how can i advertise your site? it doesnt matter if im a pr900000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000.

sites are on the board to make a living and be seen, and if i dont provide that service than i shouldn't sell it.

I only pay, if it looks like I would get a traffic

I usually pay for the pr but if it is a reputed directory owner that is starting a new on, I will even pay if its pr0

So what your saying is "if his current directory is good then his new one will be too!"

It really depends more on whether I think the directory is being run well, moreso than PR. If it looks like it is well-maintained, of if I know the owner and he has a good reputation, I'm much more likely to buy a listing. Of course, if it has PR then I am happier. But I have paid for listings on pages that had unranked PR.

Oh my view is this :

$1 is expensive for someone like me.

But $1 is considered cheap for someone like Chris.

And it does not depend on anything else, be it pr, directory owner, google partnership etc etc. Every other factors are quite useless.
