Default Affiliate programs for Directories

I was just doing some research into some affiliate programs for directory and wanted to know what others have used. Which ones make the most money? Which ones would you definetly not use?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Well have you looked into Adsense or clicksor?

I have always said its better to sell your own ad space!

I personally don't like adsense at all. When it first cam out it was good, people were interested in this new kind of internet ad and so own one of my sites I was making a sometimes up to a hundred a month with not that much traffic. But now there are some many MFAs that people have come across it has really brought the quality of adsense down, I feel like a spammer when I have it on my site and so I got rid of it. I don't know much about clicksor but will have to research it.

When I was referring to affiliates I meant things like web hosting that webmasters that submit links on your site will be interested in. For example, I have text-link-ads affiliate on my site and it does really well, I've had it up for about 2 weeks and signed up 3 people (x$25).

So do you know any good affiliate programs?

I also am not a fan of adsense but do use some affiliate programs but we shall have to wait and see. I try not to use them on sites like these and sell my own space which is funm

Directory Maximizer offers an affiliate program where you can earn lifetime commissions from every single user referred to the service. While I'm a part of the company, I do sincerely believe that it's a great opportunity for directories to monetize their visitors. Am only saying this from the high conversions we've experienced with other directories using our affiliate program.
