Has anyone who has a paid directory noticed any slowdowns in paid directory submissions? I only ask because I have been a little off on a couple of directories and wanted to know if anyone else has had the same problem and/or saw any trends.

P.S. My free ones are still as active as ever...:-)

For me it comes and goes... some day I get a lot and some days not so many. So it is hard to try to set a trend...

Maybe due to the impending toolbar PR update. I have noticed submissions slowed for me over the last 5 days.

can't say that I have noticed it one way or the other with my directories. It's always been a roller coaster. What I can say for sure is that the times the PR has dropped on a site, so did the submissions/paid submissions.....but that was expected.

I have noticed a slowdown in the last week. Like Billy, I am assuming it is everyone waiting for the PR update.

Or it may be seasonal? Not sure.... Does anyone have a paid directories older than a year where they can look back and see if there are definite dips in certain months?

ohh, didn't even think about that one. That could have something to do with it.

I think it has the potential to change the directory biz as we know it. I have been trying to think of ways to combat it. But haven't figured out how to get paid for links without Google knowing
