If you have a high pagerank the offers will come in. New site exchange requests brings losers or nothing. I bought two software programs and neither makes the process any easier or successful. I've subscribed to a few free ones and I'm disenchanted with them all. I recently sent out exchange requests to ten related sites. Result? Nothing.

I'm glad Google is de-emphasizing this. It gobbles up time and all too often ends with frustration.

I would not recommend link exchanges, I would instead focus on creating content amd, doing whatever it takes to get the one ways from important pages

How about banner exchange?
does it same with link exchange?

I would have to call it a success.

As I am now #1 ranked on a number of (competitive) keywords.

I wouldn't allow mindless links on my site, that are not relevant to my niche.

A link exchange would poison my site.

I pay linkvana for one way links.

In the last 30 days there are 500 keyword phrases that have delivered inbound traffic.

I used to exchange links in linkmarket and other related sites but after years of experience with search engine optimization would say that manual link building is the best thing. Don't take links from any site, only related sites to yours and try to anchor your keywords when putting a link to other sites. I also would suggest to find 10 to 20 link partners only with good ratings, this would be better than having thousands of link partners that have nothing to do with your website.

I recommend the good way is to email website owners who are in your same niche and request them for link exchange. This would be valuable one.

Before I do reciprocal link exchanges but as time comes it is fastly becoming obsolete. Google could detect your site having much on 2 way linking could mean no chances now. 1 way linking is the best as of the moment. People linking to your site for the reason that your site have a great content is really appreciated by most search engines.
